Coimbatore III Euro JK: Nalwalla beats Reddy to pole by 0.068s

Mohammed Nalwalla took pole position for Race 1 in the third round of Euro JK at Coimbatore, beating Anindith Reddy by just 0.068s in an ultra-tight qualifying session.

Nalwalla, who also competes in the Formula 4 SEA series, held the top spot throughout the session, lapping the Kari Motor Speedway in 1m00.0837s.

Reddy, who has had mixed results so far in Euro JK, qualified in a strong second place, while championship protagonist Ananth Shanmugam was third fastest fastest in the session.

Continuing in the championship, Chennai’s Karthik Tharani qualified in fourth place, ahead of Dhruv Mohite.

Meanwhile, points leader Nayan Chatterjee was eight tenths off the pace of pole-sitter Nalwalla, and will start the first race from a lowly sixth place.

Further back, Akash Gowda and Ricky Donison were classified in seventh and eighth places respectively, while Chittesh Mandody and Manav Sharma rounded off the top 10.
