Starting on pole position in a combined grid for the Pro Stock and Super Sport Upto 165cc categories, Jagan never let the rest of the field trouble him too much in his win at the Madras Motor Race Track.

Honda Ten10 Racing's Rajiv Sethu finished second, while TVS Racing's S Kannan finished third. TVS Racing's Harry Sylvester was fourth, while Soorya PM was fifth.

Despite the short loop being used due to unsuitable track conditions, the fourth round of the MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship made up for some interesting racing.

Jagan, fourth in the championship, was just 0.2 seconds ahead of championship leader Sethu initially. Kannan did well to move up the order to third with Hari Krishnan fourth.

After two laps, the gap between race leader Jagan and Sethu was just 0.189 seconds and it was a stiff battle out there. Kannan was almost three seconds behind.

Jagan began to increase the distance between himself and Sethu, but there was not much movement down the field.

The race leader was on a roll. With two laps to go, Jagan was 1.183 seconds ahead and it was getting more comfortable for him. Sethu managed to reduce the gap between himself and the leader a little, but Jagan was the man of the day.

Ravikumar clinches victory in 300-400cc class

Earlier, Motorev India's Deepak Ravikumar won the Super Sport Indian 300-400cc Race 1.

Kingdom Racing's Antony Peter finished second and behind him were championship leader Amarnath Menon (Gusto Racing India), Abhishek Vasudev (Motorev India) and Raja Pandian (Kingdom Racing).

Starting on pole, Ravikumar was beaten to the lead by Menon. However, with two riders being involved in an incident, the race had to be restarted. Udipta Kumar went off the track and had to be taken for treatment.

On the restart, Ravikumar was about 0.6 seconds ahead of second-placed Menon, but the latter was catching up after just one lap. The gap was now just 0.14 seconds between the first two riders. Peter was third and the three were bunched up.

Meanwhile, Ravi Kumar was still in the lead after the race was eventually brought down to six laps.

The last lap had some more action and Peter had overtaken Menon to finish second.

Aishwarya bags championship

In the Stock Upto 165cc Girls race, Alisha Abdullah took the Race 1 win.

Aishwarya Pissay finished second, while Kalyani Potekar was third. Ann Jennifer and Ryhana Bee were fourth and fifth respectively. However, Kalyani and her Speed Up Racing teammate Ryhana were disqualified on technical grounds.

Despite finishing second, Aishwarya clinched the championship as she is 32 points ahead of Kalyani with just one round remaining. Kalyani can earn a maximum of 25 points in the last round.

Alisha took the lead and Aishwarya was second, while Ann Jennifer, third on the grid, went down to sixth place.

Alisha, Aishwarya and Kalyani took the top three spots and were in a bunch. Slowly, Alisha and Aishwarya pulled ahead of Kalyani and the difference between the top two was just over 0.2 seconds.

With Aishwarya not being able to make any inroads, it was left to Alisha to clinch the top spot.
