Fernando Alonso has admitted it will be a “very big task” to win on his Daytona 24 Hours debut this weekend. 

The Spaniard is making his endurance-racing bow driving for the United Autosports Ligier team in the race alongside Lando Norris and Phil Hanson.

Having lapped 1.709s off the pace during the ‘qualifying’ session that dictates the pitbox and garage order for the Daytona 24 Hours in the ‘Roar’ test earlier this month, he does not expect it to be easy.
