Ricky Taylor addressed the issues.
Daytona Beach, Fla - The No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP was suffering from electrical issues early in the going at Daytona. The engine was missing, but the team was not surprised. They noticed issues yesterday, and put what Ricky Taylor calls a 'bandaid' on it prior to today's race.
"The team has been thrashing and we thought we had a solution for it, but something felt funny with the throttle at the start," said Taylor. "The TC (traction control) felt funny, engine was cutting out."
When the crew got their hands on the car though, they plugged into the car and uploaded a new map, doign a complete reset of the ECU. After that, everything seems to fine. "I think we have a really good Corvette to go racing with now," concluded Ricky.
The car is now running up inside the top three.
