For Scuderia Corsa, and its owners Giacomo Mattioli and Art Zafiropoulo, this weekend's race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca marks a home event for the team. Both Mattioli and Zafiropoulo own Ferrari Silicon Valley, located near the track in Redwood City, and this weekend's IMSA TUDOR United Sports Car Challenge race is a big event for the dealership and its clients.

Adding to the excitement for the guests of Ferrari Silicon Valley - who will enjoy a rally to MRLS from Ferrari Silicon Valley, as well as trackside hospitality - will be the addition of a second Ferrari this weekend as prototype veteran Kyle Marcelli will join the team's Sporting Director, Stefan Johansson, behind the wheel of the no. 64 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 458 Italia with future races to be determined. Marcelli took part in the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring in March with the team in the no. 63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 458 Italia.

"I'm very happy to join Scuderia Corsa," said Marcelli. "I have to thank Stefan Johansson and Giacomo Mattioli for giving me the opportunity to join the team in Sebring. Although our result was not great, it was a successful debut together. I was very pleased with the Ferrari 458 and also with the team - they made me feel a part of the family right away. I have actively been searching for the right GT program to be a part of for quite some time and, finally, the stars aligned with this program and I'm very grateful for the opportunity. I'm fully invested into this program with Scuderia Corsa and Ferrari, I look forward to sharing much success together."

"Kyle is an incredibly talented driver and he did an exceptional job in the Ferrari at Sebring," said Johansson. "I'm thrilled to drive for my longtime friend Giacomo, and also to share the car with Kyle this weekend in Laguna Seca. I'm also proud to represent Marshall Headphones this weekend, and I'm grateful for their support. The GT-Daytona class is very competitive and we will have our work cut out for us to deliver a good result, but we are aiming to give all of the Ferrari of Silicon Valley guests something to cheer for."

The no. 63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 458 Italia, driven by Alessandro Balzan and Jeff Westphal, enters the Laguna Seca weekend aiming for the strong result that has so far eluded the team this season. After leading at both Daytona and Sebring, contact and mechanical problems ended the car's bid for victory.

"We have had the speed that we expected, but not the results, to start the season," said Balzan, the 2013 GRAND-AM Rolex Series GT driver champion. "For sure, everyone at Scuderia Corsa has been working flat out to provide Jeff and I the fastest Ferrari in the Tudor Series. We hope that everything comes together and we can get our first win of the year this weekend."

The GT-Daytona race will be shown live on the morning of Sunday, May 4 at 1:00 PM ET on Fox Sports 1.
