Two Ligier teams go to the top in the second session.
Olivier Pla took Krohn Racing to the top of the board in the second practice of the weekend with a 1:52.731, followed by the Michael Shank Ligier and the No. 5 Action Express entry, which led the first practice.
Pla and Joao Barbosa remain the only drivers to duck under 1 minute and 53 seconds thus far. The Ganassi Riley-Ford and Taylor Corvette DP rounded out the top five.
The No. 52 Mathiasen Motorsports Oreca FLM09 went quickest in their class with driver Tom Kimber-Smith.
Not much changed in terms of who was fastest in the GT classes with the No. 24 BMW Team RLL once again topping GTLM, but not by much with mere tenths separating the ten. Alex Job Racing's Andrew Davis went P1 in GTD.
The No. 11 RSR Racing PC entry slowed and stopped on the circuit, which caused the only red flag of the session.
The teams will now get a chance in the dark to put their cars to the test, a session crucial to anyone who wants to contend in the final segment of the race.
