IMSA places Olivier Pla on probation - video

The sanctioning body released a statement on a practice collision today.

During practice for the 12 Hours at Sebring, Krohn Racing's Olivier Pla was involved in an incident with the No. 45 Flying Lizard Audi. After reviewing the collision, IMSA has decided to penalize Pla, who sat on pole for the event.

In a release from the series, they said Pla violted Rule 48.4 (unjustifiable risk). Therefore, he has been placed on probation for the remainder of the 2015 season.

"After a comprehensive review by the IMSA Competition Department, Olivier Pla, driver of the No. 57 car, has been placed on probation for his actions during the Sebring event."

"Pla was determined to have violated Rule 48.4 (unjustifiable risk) of the 2015 IMSA Rules in an incident involving the No. 45 car on the front straight during practice on Friday, March 20. He is on probation for the remainder of the 2015 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season."
