Hour 3: Ganassi and DeltaWing swap lead through pit stops

The reigning Rolex 24 champions in the No. 02 Chip Ganassi Racing DP are back out and leading the race after three hours.

Near the start of the third hour, Scott Dixon gave up the wheel to NASCAR regular Jamie McMurray, who currently leads.

Hour 3 went mostly without incident, highlighted by an uneventful spin by the No. 73 Park Place Porsche out of the first hairpin. The No. 66 Ford GT also encountered more gremlins, heading back into the garage with shifting issues.

When the Ganassi DP pitted, early race hero Katherine Legge returned to the front in the DeltaWing. She made a minor mistake entering Turn 1, running wide with a brake lock-up, but otherwise held her own.

She pitted with 25 minutes left in the hour, which returned Ganassi back to the front. Sean Rayhall then took over the DeltaWing, making a slow getaway from the pits.

The No. 85 JDC-Miller Motorsports entry continues to lead PC, as does the No. 4 Corvette in GTLM. The only change has been GTD where the No. 48 Paul Miller Racing Lamborghini has moved into first place.
