Tracy Krohn Audi R8 LMS stopping out on course brought out the full course yellows for the 19th time, triggering more pitstops.

That allowed Christian Fittipaldi to take the lead in the #5 AX Racing Chevrolet DP, chased by erstwhile leader Jordan Taylor’s similar machine and Pipo Derani in the #2 ESM Racing Ligier-Honda. A lap after the restart, Derani made a move stick on Taylor to claim second.

However, Andy Priaulx (Ganassi Riley-Ford), Jonny Adam (AX Racing Corvette) and Ryan Dalziel (Visit Florida Corvette) remained on the lead lap for the next restart.

In GTLM, Antonio Garcia was given a drive through penalty for speeding on pitlane and didn’t stop with the others so took the lead, but immediately lost it on the restart to Frederic Makowiecki’s #912 Porsche. Tommy Milner in the #4 Corvette ran fourth, holding of Alexandre Premat in the Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 488.

In GTD, Andy Pilgrim’s Black Swan Racing Porsche led Andy Lally in the Magnus Racing Audi R8 and Jesse Krohn’s BMW M6.
