This is a great opportunity for me to continue my great relationship with Ferrari and come back to Sebring where I have been able to win before,
Enzo Potolicchio
Potolicchio returns to Sebring, where he participated in 2012 finishing 1st Place in the LMP2 category and an incredible 3rd place overall. He is back to racing a Ferrari, where he has achieved prominent success in the past. In 2009 during his first involvement with the North American Ferrari Challenge he earned a victory and a third place podium finish. It was in 2010 where he achieved ultimate glory by winning the Ferrari Challenge and reiterating it with back to back titles in 2011.
The year 2013 was also a special year for Enzo, when he created his team 8Star Motorsports and drove it to worldwide recognition by becoming one of the first American teams to earn a team championship. The No. 81 car for 8Star won the trophy for LMGTE Am teams, after achieving two first place victories in the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and 6 Hours of Shanghai. In addition, he earned 2nd place overall with the team’s Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 along with teammate Rui Aguas.
“This is a great opportunity for me to continue my great relationship with Ferrari and come back to Sebring where I have been able to win before,” said Enzo Potolicchio. “I am looking forward to racing alongside AF Corse and their drivers this weekend at Sebring and confident that we can achieve a great result at this historic track.”
