New Zealand's own Earl Bamber is an official Porsche factory driver.
24-year-old Earl Bamber will join Porsche's factory GT squard in 2015, competing in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. He was recently awarded the Porsche Motorsport International Cup Scholarship.
According to a release from Porsche, Bamber was supported during the 2014 season with funding of 200,000 Euro. In the 2014 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, Bamber went back-to-back, defending his 2013 title.
He competed in the season-ending Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, filling in for the injured Richard Lietz and finishing second in the GTLM class.
