Barbosa and Action Express lead opening Sebring practice

On-track action is underway at Sebring.

Sebring, Fla. - Joao Barbosa has drawn first blood at Sebring, topping the charts in Thursday's morning practice session as we prepare for the 63rd running of the historic 12 hour race.

Michael Shank Racing and Krohn put their Ligiers in the top three, but neither Ozz Negri or Nic Jonsson could match the Corvette's 1:52.485.

Two more Corvette DPs rounded out the top five with Taylor and the secondary Action Express entry.

Colin Braun and CORE Autosport were fastest among the PC class with Dirk Werner (BMW Team RLL) leading GTLM and Mario Farnbacher (Alex Job Racing Porsche) on top in GTD.

Only one red flag was needed when the GTD Rolex 24 victors (No. 33 Riley Technologies Dodge Viper) stopped on track and required assistance.

43 of 45 entries posted a time and the second practice will take place early this afternoon.
