BLACK MAGIC PRO SERIES POST RACE QUOTES

MIKE ANDERSON (#42 TRD/Fletcher Jones Toyota World Sports Racer) -- Winner of the 40-Minute Black Magic Pro Series Race -- It wasn't exactly the way he wanted to win, but when Mike Davies had to pit for a failed rain light, Anderson readily, if not actually happily, accepted the lead. "I was kind of bummed. I was glad that I had the lead, but I wanted to beat him...I wanted to pass him, I wanted to race him." After a wide swing in turn one, Anderson momentarily lost the lead to Gary Gibson (#13 Toyota World Sports Racer),but regained it when Gibson also went wide. Until today, the Black Magic points lead was tied between Anderson, polesitter Davies, and David Tenney (#10 AC Racing Toyota World Sports Car). "This is exactly what I needed to do, I needed to come here and win this race."

JON MIRACHI (#7 Riobi Racing Bristol Assoc. Toyota World Sports Racer) -- Second place fnished in the 40-Minute Black Magic Pro Series Race -- When I woke up this morning I was a little disappointed with the rain. We had a really good car and I thought we had a chance to win the race. It was really different than what we practiced in. The delay allowed us to change the setup some. You can't race in the rain without having a close call, but it was relatively smooth for us. The track still handled well. I think we could have won the race if it didn't rain, but the crew did a heck of a job. I'm really pleased.

GARY GIBSON (#13 Toyota World Sports Racer) -- Third place finisher in the 40-Minute Black Magic Pro Series Race -- It was a lot of fun. It was a lot different than we had practiced in all weekend. The rain delay allowed us the chance to to adjust the car for the rain. The track was still great though. The repaving made it really smooth out there. I had one close call when Rain (Pilve #67 Spirit of Estonia Toyota World Sports Racer) spun. I almost got him but I was able to recover and avoid him. I almost passed Mike (Anderson), but I didn't realize how hard I was going into the corner and I went wide so he got back by me. The crew did a heck of a job preparing the car. They worked really hard. It was close but I had fun. We're really happy.
