DARRELL CARLISLE AND BRIAN WONG CARRY MOMENTUM INTO MOBIL 1 PRESENTS THE MOSPORT GRAND PRIX

BOWMANVILLE, Ontario, August 26 -- Fresh off of his first victory two weeks ago in the the Patron GT3 Challenge by Yokohama series, Darrell Carlisle, McLean, Va., looks ahead to the Mosport Grand Prix in hopes of continuing his winning ways.

While Carlisle races in the Platinum Cup, the class designated for 2008-2009 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, Brian Wong, Newport Beach, Calif., has been on fire in the Gold Cup, the class for 2005-2007 cars, winning three straight races.

"Out of all of the tracks on the schedule this year I'm really looking forward to Mosport," Wong said. "I had such a bad run last year I'm really looking forward to going back and redeeming myself. Coming off the last couple of weeks I'm looking to carry the momentum and hopefully do well there."

Wong will be up against Gold Cup points leader Melanie Snow, Pleasant Grove, Utah, who hasn't finished off of the podium once this year.

Bob Faieta, Tujunga, Calif., leads the Platinum Cup standings followed by Martin Snow, Pleasant Grove, Utah, Galen Bieker, Burbank, Calif., and Carlisle.

Mitch Pagerey, currently sixth in the Platinum standings, has had a year of ups and downs in his first season in the Patron GT3 Challenge by Yokohama. Pagerey recently tested at Mosport in preparation for this weekend's event.

"It's the busiest track with the least amount of corners. It's my kind of track. It's high speed, some really super hard brake zones," Pagerey said. "Every corner is scary at Mosport. I find myself oddly comfortable there."

Official practice for the Patron GT3 Challenge by Yokohama racers takes place Friday, August 28. Round nine will be Saturday, August 29 at 4:50 p.m. The green flag will fly on round 10 at 10:55 a.m. Sunday.
