F1 and sports car racer Jo Siffert marries his second wife, Simone Guhl, in London (1970).

Maurice Tritignant drives a Ferrari 625 to victory in the European Grand Prix at Monaco (1955).

Although it failed to make the race, a Matra first appears on an F3 entry list (1965).

Ron Grable drives a Chevrolet-powered Lola T190 to victory in the SCCA L&M Continental Formula A race at Edmonton International Speedway in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (1970).

May 25
The ladybug had always been Johnny Rutherford's goodluck charm and he always had one painted on his race cars. Just before the start of the Indy 500, a ladybug flies into his hair. He goes on to win the race driving the Pennzoil "Yellow Submarine" Chaparral (1980).
