Colorado Springs, CO - June 2, 2004 - The Falken Tire Pikes Peak International Hill Climb today announced that the start time for the 82nd "Race to the Clouds" has been changed. This year the green flag will drop at 10:00 a.m. rather than the traditional 9:00 a.m. start. Fans must be past the Start/Finish line no later than 9:00 a.m.

"We did this with the race fans in mind," said Chairman of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb Board Ed Sauer. "We've had several conversations with our best supporters for how to enhance the event and the consistent comment from each one has been to move the event back an hour to allow fans more flexibility in when they arrive on the mountain on race day."

For those early birds the tollgate will still open at 4:00 a.m.

During the lunch break Mainstream Productions Inc. will showcase the sport of drifting at the second oldest motorsports event in the United States. Falken Tire drivers Calvin Wan, Yoshinori Koguchi and Seigo Yamamoto will drift the paved section of the famed Pikes Peak Highway. On June 27th the Drift Showoff continues at Pikes Peak International Raceway with a professional drifting exhibition, clinic, and competition. Drivers from across the U.S. are planning to compete in this historic event.
