Falken Tire Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Announce 2005 Chairman of Board of Directors.

Colorado Springs, Colo., September 22, 2004 -- The Falken Tire Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, the second oldest motorsports event in the United States, today announced that Mike Cimino has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 2005 event. Cimino previously served as 1st Vice Chairman of the Falken Tire Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Cimino is General Manager/Partner of Phil Long Dealerships.

"As a Colorado native who was raised attending the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, it is certainly an honor to serve as Chairman of the event," said Cimino. "The Pikes Peak Hill Climb is known world-wide as one of the great annual motorsports events, and I look forward to working with our board to maintain the value of an event that is part of the history of Colorado Springs."

The Falken Tire Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Board also announces Lou Mellini as 1st Vice Chairman and Phil Emmert as 2nd Vice Chairman for 2005. Mellini is President and General Manager of KILO-FM and KYZX-FM and Emmert is General Sales Manager for Citadel Communications. Both have previously served on the Hill Climb Board.

The Falken Tire Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is a long-standing tradition in Colorado Springs and the second oldest motorsports event in the United States. An annual event since 1916, 2005 marks the 83rd running of the "Race to the Clouds". The race is run on a 12-mile course that begins at 9,200 feet and finishes at the 14,110-foot summit of Pikes Peak. It features a variety of automotive and motorcycle classes with an average of 150 competitors.
