Records Set to Tumble
Queensland Hillclimb Championship, Mount Cotton Hillclimb circuit
Records are set to tumble as Australia's fastest Hillclimb weapons take to the demanding Mount Cotton Hillclimb on June 5-6 for the 2004 Queensland Hillclimb Championship.
From the super fast and supercharged Formula Libre cars through a wide variety of tin tops and sports cars, 27 class championships will be decided.
Another incentive for competitors is the fact that official track records can only be set once a year, with many competitors getting in practice at previous hillclimbs this year that have attracted huge fields of cars.
The MG Car Club, promoters of the meeting are also expecting a fantastic crowd to attend the meeting, with many fantastic vantage points around the demanding 946 meter long track.
As always, the canteen will be open, with spectators encouraged to check out all of the cars in the pits.
Saturday will be dedicated for practice runs, with the first official timed run to take place on Sunday morning.
