Two hours into the legendary endurance race, absolute chaos has ensued. At the top of Eau Rouge, the No. 100 SMP Racing Ferrari, piloted by Vyacheslav Maleev, got up on the curbs and lost control. He overcorrected and went careening into the tire barrier head-on.

The car partially disintegrated and ricocheted back across the course and into oncoming traffic. A couple cars were forced into evasive maneuvers in order to avoid a direct hit with the stricken car. Maleev emerged from the mangled wreckage and seemingly unharmed.

Once the race resumed, another massive crash immediately took place. The No. 101 McLaren of Tim Mullen was the driver involved in this incident. He spun at Blanchimont and the car, like the Ferrari, partially disintegrated on impact.

Mullen was taken to a local hospital for precautionary checks, but may have a concussion.

As the race went green again, Karim Ojjeh in the No. 15 Mclaren went flying backwards into the tire barriers at the top of Eau Rogue, the same place the Ferrari hit. He quickly got out of the car. More cars including the No. 85 Mercedes and No. 66 BMW were involved in incidents at the same time.

Yes, another wreck. The No. 107 Aston Martin, No. 458 Ferrari, No. 16 McLaren, No. 85 Mercedes, and No. 50 Ferrari have just been involved in a multi-car accident at Raidillon. It started when the No. 50 spun out of Eau Rouge before getting struck by multple cars.
