Maserati GT3 homologated by FIA - Grand-Am next?

The GranTurismo MC to debut in the International GT Open series with possible appearance in Grand-Am by late 2013.

The Maserati GranTurismo MC has been declared eligible for GT3 competition by the FIA. The only detail left to be determined is the Performance Balance for this new GT3 - even if the car competed in the International GT Open last year with the Swiss Team. In fact, it's this team, guided by Guido Bonfiglio, which is in charge of the Maserati's development with help from the Italian auto maker.

It is planned that the Maserati GranTurismo MC GT3 make its official debut this year in the International GT Open before possibly starting competition in Grand-Am. Discussions are in the works so that the car could make an appearance in the United States by year's end.
