James Glickenhaus' newest creation has finally made it to the track and more importantly, on video!
James Glickenhaus is at it again. We all remember the Ferrari P4/5 and have been recently introduced to the Glickenhaus SCG 003. We've seen teaser photos, but now we get the chance to see how it looks on the track.
The car is powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 Honda engine and Glickenhaus' intentions are to take it to the Nordschleife for the 24 Hours of Nurburgring next year. The 003 looks almost like a prototype we would have seen at Le Mans once, but it's driver Nicola Larini compared the feel to Formula One, which he competed in from 1987 to 1997.
The engine is believed to be the J35Y4 that we currently see under the hood of the Acura RLX, but a highly modified and overhauled version of course. The lightweight carbon fiber chassis weighs just over 1,600lbs.
