It truly is amazing that not too many years ago, spectacular racing and wrecking took days to circulate the world. Before social media, before the Facebooks and Twitters you would have to watch your local or national sports program to see highlights, or be lucky enough to have stumbled upon it on Motorsport.com or Youtube. Before the internet, well, we were all pooched.

With that said, only mere hours ago Danish GT Masters driver Nicki Thiim had a very violent rollover wreck with about 5 other cars involved. On the start no less.

Instead of waiting for press releases from teams, or a news report, we quickly found out from the man himself that he was ok after the accident.

Because of technology, we are able to show the entire globe the spectacular coverage of this scary ride.

Now, here is where it gets "cool." With smartphones, and internet connectivity, it doesnt take all that long to get EVERY angle of things. How about this view from the stands? Oschersleben looks like a pretty safe track, as it is refreshing to see a wreck of that magnitude in that proximity to the stands without too much issues.

I can guarantee that there will be more angles of the start...just look at the amount of smartphones aimed at the crash?

So, lets respect the marvel that is a race car out of control or crashing, be happy that the driver is ok, but lastly be impressed with the availability and speed things like this can spread all over the globe!
