The Porsche 911 GT3 of the Stuttgart Motorsport, driven by Raul Boesel, Flavio Trindade and Regis Schuch, won the 30th 1000 Miles of Brazil, this weekend, in Interlagos.
They beat the favorite Lister Storm of the Diniz Family, that left the race after 11 laps, as they hadn't time to import more tyres to use in the race.
"It would not be safe to race with normal tires in such a powerful car" said Alcides Diniz, champion of this race in 1970.
The MCR of the Beach Park team had, for the second consecutive year, gearbox problemas and left the race after 3 hours, while leading with Nelson Angelo Piquet.
The Tango Hollywood of Felipe Giaffone, Zeca Giaffone, Ruyter Pacheco and Flavio Andrade had their engine blown after 3 hours, but still managed to complete the fastest race lap.
