British GT Championship 2005

Tech 9 Motorsport announces its return to the British GT Championship and unveils a dynamic driver line up which could very well see the team securing the Championship title for the third year running.

Consistently one of the leading Porsche drivers in the World, Piers Masarati (American Le Mans, Le Mans 24hr) will partner Dimitris Deverikos have been confirmed to front the campaign and will be sharing the driving seat in the revised Tech 9 2005 specification GT3 Cup machine.

Deverikos debut in the British GT brings a welcomed international angle to the Championship and will be breaking new ground for the Athens driver, who is already an established race figure in Greece and who in the past, has successfully competed in the Italian GT and Greek Formula 3:

"The British GT is very strong at the moment and working with Tech 9 and Piers as a partner, I feel we have a good chance of success in the championship."

Tech 9 who defied odds to make a podium finish at the Bahrain GT Festival late last year, feel the involvement of Deverikos is testimony to the strength of the Championship in Europe.

"It's been a late deal but worth the wait! We have successfully secured two highly professional drivers which when coupled with Tech 9's unparalleled engineering experience will give us the edge we need over the competition," said team boss Phil Hindley.

"It will be a difficult task to secure three wins in a row for the team title but we feel we have the right formula for success!"
