THE GOING GETS TOUGH
The Avon Tyres British GT Championship is Norfolk-bound this weekend for the next two rounds of the 2008 season. The playing field has changed recently with the re-equalisation of the Vipers and Lamborghinis boosting their performance, and with the added challenge from the Ford GT it looks like the competition will be tougher than ever at Snetterton.
CR Scuderia has a healthy lead in the Teams' Championship and the three CRS Ferraris are running second, third and fourth in the Drivers' Championship, so the team has everything to play for at Snetterton.
CR Scuderia Ferrari no.15: Michael Cullen & TBA
MICHAEL CULLEN: "I'm expecting another tough weekend as the recent equalisation changes have gone very much in favour of the Vipers and Lamborghinis and I think we will particularly suffer out of the last chicane at Snetterton as we simply don't have the acceleration that they now have. Hopefully there will be a rebalance in time for Thruxton and the remaining rounds of the Championship. Paddy won't be with me this weekend as he has business commitments but we'll have a great replacement driver and you'll just have to wait to find out who that is."
CR Scuderia Ferrari no.14: James Sutton & Michael Meadows
MICHAEL MEADOWS: "I think we'll be quick at Snetterton, all things being equal. The Ferraris were certainly competitive there last year and James and I have been on the pace at all the events so far this year. It would be nice to get on the podium again but we are really out to get our first win of the year."
CR Scuderia Ferrari no.16: Luke Hines & Jeremy Metcalfe
JEREMY METCALFE: "I haven't been to Snetterton in the Ferrari yet but I'm confident that Luke and I will be strong for the next two rounds and I'm looking forward to the event. The Ferraris were quick there last year but, like Rockingham, we'll have to see how it pans out with the re-equalisation of the other cars. I'm confident we can put a good race together and I'm sure we'll be challenging for more big points. I'm happy with the way the season is going so far, the team is working very well and I'm having a great time in the Ferrari - it's a fantastic car to race."
