Monday 26th January 2004: As the rest of the United Kingdom battens down the hatches in anticipation of a winter freeze, in the outback of Chertsey, Surrey, Emotional Engineering team personnel have switched on the sun lamps and changed into their surf gear to celebrate Australia Day. Tomorrow the tinnies will be back in the cooler, the Kylie videos on pause, and all thoughts will return to planning for the arrival of the 650bhp Monaro-the Thunder from Down under- and its racing debut in the 2004 British GT Championship.

Allen Orchard, Managing Director, Emotional Engineering:

"The interest in our programme has taken us by surprise since we announced that we would be racing the Vauxhall Monaro in Europe. The car is currently being built to British GT spec in Australia by Vauxhall's sister company Holden and will test at Philip Island in February before arriving in the UK. We shall then undertake a full shakedown in readiness for the British GT Test day in mid-March. We have a mammoth task ahead and things are extremely hectic. It is a very exciting time for us all."
