Adam Wilcox takes first BGT win and championship lead...

Adam Wilcox and Ni Amorim gave DRM Racing their first ever British GT win at the weekend on the Silverstone GP circuit, and secured once again the British GT Championship lead.

Adam driving the DRM Racing Ferrari, started in 3rd place but on totally new tyres due to an earlier mix up at Scruitneering " I slipped back to 5th at the start and the first 3 or 4 laps were very tough as the tyres started to bed in, as the grip level rose I was able to work my way back up the order and into the lead just before my pit stop and driver change for Ni Amorim after 15 laps " Commented Adam afterwards.

Ni Amorim managed to bring the car home 7 seconds clear of rival team Tech9 in the Porsche. The win moved Adam and Ni back into the Championship lead with only 4 races remaining in the series.

For race 2 Ni Amorim started and after 5 laps the rain fell, and many cars had collisions so the safety car was bought out for 5 laps, Ni was still in 3rd place and pitted shortly afterwards to hand the car over to Adam, who rejoined in 5th place and managed to get the car back up the order and on the podium in 3rd place, and further increased the championship lead to 9 points.

"We have made some good developments to the car, and I am confident we can win the championship now " Commented Adam.
