Andrea Mamé dies in a tragic crash at Paul Ricard

Another tragic weekend in racing as Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo driver Andrea Mamé dies in a a multiple collision at the start of the Paul Ricard race on Sunday morning.

It is with great sadness that Blancpain and SRO Motorsports Group confirm the tragic death of Andrea Mamé when his #11 Lamborghini was involved in a multiple collision at the start of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo race this morning.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, who were immediately in attendance, his injuries proved fatal. The driver’s next of kin have been informed.

The two Lamborghinis #24 and #125 of Blancpain Racing driven by Marc A. Hayek, Peter Kox, Albert von Thurn und Taxis, Stefan Rosina and Jos Menten will not participate in the Blancpain Endurance Series race this afternoon.
