DiMan Racing to Compete in AGT Events on The Islands

Wilton, CT- DiMan Racing, headed by Armando (Mandy) Gonzàlez, will bring over 20 years of racing experience plus a solid reputation as a successful businessman to the American GT Challenge series when the AGT visit the islands of the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico later in the 2004 schedule. Gonzalez, a seasoned veteran in AGT style cars, will compete in the number 35 Musicalia Corvette. Musicalia is a music industry related business.

Gonzàlez began racing in 1978, and in the past twenty years has completed in major races through out the world. His list of racing accomplishment includes appearances at LeMans, Daytona, Sebring, Miami, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Canada, Detroit as well as many additional highlights.

"We are very happy to have Mandy join us as we island hop," said Woodson Duncan, President of the American GT Challenge. "The series looks forward to visiting the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, where the best AGT drivers from the United Stated, Canada and the islands can go head to head."

Gonzàlez, a native of Cuba, resides in Puerto Rico. A graduate of Puerto Rico Junior College, he serves as Vice-President of Distribuidora Dominicana de Discos, Inc. (Musicalia), and manages other music industry related business.

The American GT Challenge uses purpose built tube frame chassis cars, power by a V-8 & V-6 engine, with composite bodies, replicating series produced American touring or grand touring cars competing exclusively on Goodyear Racing Tires. For more information visit www.americangt.com.

The American GT Challenge's next stop is at Lime Rock Park in Danbury, CT. July 2-3rd, in participation with the American LeMans Series.
