Horizon Motorsports Finishes 8th with Damaged Vehicle

Rockland, South Carolina, -- Once again defying the odds, Horizon Motorsports stared adversity in the face and got the job done - finishing a reputable 8th place at Watkins Glen this past weekend.

This race was especially challenging for Kris Szekeres, Kurt Roehrig, and The Horizon Motorsports Team, considering the perilous state of the Pontiac GTO before the race. The #23 vehicle had suffered serious damages just days before, which caused the back end of the vehicle to be smashed. It was patched and ready for the practice round on the 21st. The GTO was also not handling as well as it should have been due to repairs that needed to be made to the steering. This was addressed and the #23 ended up qualifying 11th overall.

Horizon is charged up with this recent finish, considering the Pontiac GTO was damaged and considered out of the race just days before, and still managed to qualify 11th and finish 8th. The Horizon crew looks forward to getting their car back-on-track and back into the winning lane for the next stop at VIR 400.
