Veteran Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series competitor Darren Law and his NASCAR regular teammate Geoffrey Bodine are ready for their return to Watkins Glen for the Bully Hill Vineyards 250 to be held August 7-8. Law and Bodine will share driving stints in the #8 G & W prepared BMW powered Picchio Daytona Prototype supported by USI Insurance and the Valley Group.

Encouraged by competitive lap times and race setup at the previous event at Daytona International Speedway, Law is optimistic of team's chances as they take to the Watkins Glen racetrack in the picturesque rolling hills of upstate New York.

Said Law about the upcoming event, "We learned quite a bit at Daytona regarding race setup on the Picchio, especially in the area of stability in high speed corners. The Glen is one of those technical tracks that really puts a premium on the vehicle's stability. With what we learned, I think we might just be in the hunt."

Unlike the Grand American's previous visit to the Glen for the Sahlen's six hour event, the Bully Hill Vinyards race will be shorter in both time and track configuration, and will likely see the drivers pushing the cars harder.

Law realizes the window of opportunity that a shorter race can afford him. He commented on what might be different with his approach to driving when involved in a shorter duration event. "For sure, we will be prepared for a sprint race, which means being a little more aggressive with the driving and strategy, and to be honest, the Picchio has really done well on the shorter sprint type races. As a driver, I will be more likely to push the limits for both the car and myself."

Darren is also excited about the progress that his teammate Geoffrey Bodine has shown over his brief period in the car.

"Geoff has continued to be quicker as he spends more time in the car", said Law. "He knows the Glen as well as anybody, and now he is really developing a feel for the Picchio."

Darren is also proud to announce that he will be sporting race equipment from CDOC, a distributor of race equipment spanning the gamut from driver clothing and safety equipment through to performance enhancing parts for vehicles.
