FINLAY AND VALIANTE LOOK FORWARD TO RETURNING TO THE GLEN

MOORESVILLE, NC (August 8, 2006) When Rob Finlay and Michael Valiante visited Watkins Glen International Raceway earlier this year they fell just shy of a top-10 finish. The driving duo competed in the grueling 6-hours at the Glen and ran an incredible race but had to settle for a twelfth place finish. With that in mind the Finlay Motorsports team returns to the 3.4-mile road course with one goal, to finish within the top-10.

"We had a pretty good finish at the Glen in June," said Rob Finlay. "The car was strong and I'm looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the Make-A- Wish/Z-Line Designs machine. I'm coming off a couple of good races in the Grand Am Cup Series so my confidence is good and I think we'll have a great result Friday night."

Finlay, who also co-drives a Ford Mustang in the Grand Am Cup Series with Michael McDowell, is on a hot streak and hopes to continue the success in the No. 5 Daytona Prototype machine this week. Finlay and McDowell won the Grand Am Cup race at Barber Motorsports Park two weeks ago and drove to another podium finish last weekend at Trois-Rivieres. With the Mooresville, NC- based team's recent success in the Grand Am Cup Series; they would like nothing more than to score a top-10 finish come Friday night.

Finlay, who is also in contention for the prestigious "Jim Trueman" Award continues to chip away at Mark Patterson's points lead, a mere 61 points separate the two opponents. "I'm looking forward to Watkins Glen," said Michael Valiante. "The car ran well there earlier this year. We were quick in the race so I think if everything goes our way and we can stay out of trouble we may have a shot at the podium."

The Finlay Motorsports team currently sits seventh in the Grand American Rolex Series presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve team point standings with a total of seven top-10 finishes thus far.
