Several Cars Suffer Damage In Practice

Several cars suffered damage during today's practice sessions for Sunday's 6 Hours of The Glen, however most report it should not interfere with their bid for a spot in Victory Circle.

· The #07 BMW-powered Picchio of G&W Motorsports/Momentum Motorcars sat out most of the second practice session due to an off track excursion, however the minor suspension damage will be repaired in time for Saturday practice.

· The Flis Motorsports #09 Corvette was only able to complete a half of a lap during the morning practice session before suffering engine failure. The team is unsure if it will be able to repair the Corvette in time for Sunday's race. American GT driver points leader Doug Goad will most likely be moved to the team's #90 Corvette in order to gain points and hopefully maintain his lead.

· The Park Place Racing #5 Saleen S7R came into the garage early during the second practice session with minor electrical problems. Driver Chris Bingham reported the car seemed to be missing some power and the team decided to bring it in to investigate what could be the cause.

· The #54 BMW M3 of Bell Motorsports was involved in an accident in the inner loop, bringing out the checkered early for the afternoon practice session. The car suffered left front suspension damage that the team hopes to have fixed by Saturday's practice.

· The #91 Corvette of Paladin Racing skipped over the gravel trap and into the foam wall in turn one during the morning session, but was back on track by the afternoon.

· The Alegra Motorsports/901 Shop #40 BMW M3 lost a wheel in the afternoon session, but the team reports the damage was minor and will be repaired by Saturday's practice session.
