Robinson Debuts New Riley & Scott Mark III-C Chassis
Robinson Racing is debuting its new Riley & Scott Mark III-C chassis this weekend at the Six Hours of The Glen. It will be the first appearance of the new Riley & Scott chassis in the Rolex Sports Car Series. Jack Baldwin (Marietta, Ga.) and George Robinson (Houston, Texas) will pilot the Judd-powered Riley & Scott in Saturday's Six Hours of The Glen. Dyson Racing Team is also in possession of one of the new Riley & Scotts, but has not said when it plans to compete it in the Rolex Series.

17-Year-Old Field Not Allowed to Race at The Glen Seventeen-year-old Clint Field (Columbus, Ohio) made history as the youngest driver to ever compete at the Rolex 24 At Daytona earlier this year, but he won't get a chance to do the same this weekend at the Six Hours of The Glen. Field will not be able to compete this weekend because of a New York state law requiring drivers to be at least 18 years of age. Intersport Racing will not be able to run its #28 Ford Riley & Scott this weekend due to Clint's absence. He typically shares driving duties with his uncle Joe Field. Clint's father and team owner Jon Field is disappointed that his son will not be able to compete this weekend. Intersport Racing will run its #37 Judd Lola this weekend with Jon and Oliver Gavin behind the wheel.

Fordahl Being Careful with #5 Saleen
The crew and drivers of Fordahl Motorsports are being extra careful this weekend with the #5 Saleen S7R, because the team is running very low on spare bodywork and parts. "They have three Saleens in Europe getting ready LeMans, and most of the spare bodywork and parts are over there with them," said car owner and driver Chris Bingham (Kirkland, Wash.). However the crew and car will be sporting some new equipment in the pits this weekend. After a disastrous pit stop in Phoenix when one of the air guns became stuck during a tire change, the Saleen lost the lead and victory. Bingham reports that the car now has brand new custom made air guns and fittings.

Mosler Returns to Rolex Series
The first customer car of the 10 MT900Rs expected this year from the Morrison/Mosler shop is scheduled to compete in Saturday's Six Hours of The Glen. The car will be delivered next week to champion boat racer and Grand-Am veteran Scott Deware (Quincy, Mass.), who will be in the driver's seat next weekend at the Lime Rock Grand Prix. The car competing at The Glen this weekend is a sister to the MT900R that qualified fastest in the GT class at both the Rolex 24 At Daytona and Nextel 250. That car is now running the All Japan Grand Touring Championship. A second customer car is nearing completion, and may be debuted at the ConAgra U.S. Road Racing Classic, June 7-10.
