WAGNER AND JOHANSSON OPTIMISTIC FOR SIX HOURS OF THE GLEN

INDIANAPOLIS (June 8, 2005) -- Following a career-best podium finish of second in Round 5 North of the Border, New Century Mortgage Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates teammates Cort Wagner and Stefan Johansson take momentum gained from the 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant to the rolling hills of New York's beautiful Finger Lakes region as they prepare to take on the Rolex Sports Car Series best in Sunday's Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen.

The co-pilots of the increasingly competitive no.02 New Century Mortgage Lexus-Riley managed to regain their stronghold on the fourth spot in the championship standings after Mont-Tremblant, and arrive at The Glen just 32 markers out of first in the 14-race endurance test of man and machine.

"Watkins Glen is a very famous and historic track that has challenged the world's best drivers for many years," said Johansson of the 3.4-mile sensational stretch of pavement in Upstate New York. "We had a very solid showing in the last race, which also happened to be a six-hour event as well, so I'm fairly optimistic heading into this weekend. Cort had arguably his best drive of the season and I'm looking forward to moving up one more notch on the podium."

Californian Cort Wagner is no stranger to the facility dubbed "Thunder Road" as the first-year Ganassi racing pilot threw down a flyer last season for Rx.com/G&W Motorsports which qualified him on the front row.

"Obviously we did something right last year at Watkins Glen and I was able to get a good feel for qualifying," said Wagner. "The New Century Mortgage team is getting stronger each race, and I feel it's only a matter of time until we are able to breakthrough and get that first win."

Fans of New Century Mortgage Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates can catch the no.02 New Century Mortgage Lexus-Riley in action at the Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen in Watkins Glen, N.Y. this Sunday, June 12th (Part I, LIVE, SPEED Channel, 10:00 am ET/ Part II, LIVE, SPEED Channel, 12:30 pm ET) at Watkins Glen International for Round 6 of the Rolex Sports Car Series.
