Lewis teams with Andy Pilgrim to pilot #46 Camaro in the Bosch 250

Shane Lewis will debut the new ZMG Autohaus Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro this weekend at Virginia International Raceway. Lewis will be competing in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series Bosch 250 this Saturday, April 25th with Andy Pilgrim as his co driver. Shane is just returning from a successful event in Long Beach, California with a 4th place finish in the ALMS Challenge class in last weekends Long Beach Grand Prix.

He is looking forward to continue his momentum at VIR in the new Camaro. Lewis has a strong history at this venue including multiple wins, pole positions and track records in different classes including a 1st place finish in the 6 hour 2007 KONI Challenge event. This weekend his focus will be getting another podium finish in the Rolex Series GT Class. Autohaus Motorsports signed on Andy Pilgrim to co-drive with Lewis in the absence of principal driver Rich Zahn, due to an injury keeping him from attending this event.

Although Lewis is very disappointed Zahn will not be driving with him during this weekend, he is looking forward to having Andy as his co-driver. Autohaus has worked around the clock preparing the new Chevrolet Camaro to compete in this weekend's event. They originally planned on debuting it at Barber, but an engine failure delayed the team from being able to compete.

"I am very excited to debut the Camaro with Autohaus at this event. I wish Rich could be here with me, I know he has worked as hard as all of us to be ready for this race and I feel terrible that he can not be here with us" Lewis said. "I am looking forward to driving with Andy. He and I have been competitors and friends for many years and I know we will work great together as a team to get the most out of all the hard work the Autohaus crew has done."
