TRG Porsches Qualify 10th and 14th at Miller

Tooele, Ut. (September 1, 2006) - TRG Porsches qualified 10th and 14th for the final round of the Grand American Rolex Series presented by Crown Royal Reserve to be run at Miller Motorsport Park tomorrow.

Jim Pace wheeled the number 66/Surgical Reimbursement Special/TRG/Porsche 997 to a fifth row starting position for tomorrow's nine-hour season finale. Pace put in a time of 3:00.532 around the near five-mile Miller Motorsport Park circuit. Pace is joined by co-drivers Jim Lowe and RJ Valentine for tomorrow's noon time start.

In the number 67 TRG companion car, Mike Solley drove to a 14th place qualifying effort posting a time of 3:05.043. Solley will pull away from the grid from the seventh row in GT. Mike is joined by co-drivers Marc Bullock and Tim Gaffiney for the series ender.

"I had a pretty good lap," said Jim Pace. "I got some courtesy from the 74 car and was able to put it in the top ten. Tomorrow will be a long day and we will need to be on our toes to stay on the lead lap and be ready to concentrate for the full nine-hours. Jim Lowe and RJ Valentine have been up to the task at this new track and we will be ready to have a good strong finish come 9:00 p.m. tomorrow.

"I am having a great time," commented Mike Solley. "The TRG guys really prepare a great car. I love the track; I think it is my second favorite behind Barber. Every turn is different, if they trucked in about a millions tons of dirt and gave it some elevation it would be my number one."

"Jim and Mike put in solid runs in qualifying," said Kevin Buckler, team owner. "Our Porsche guys have come here to run hard and in nine-hours a lot can happen around a near five-mile track. The crew will check every nut and bolt and with our mature driver line-up we are looking for good things from our Porsche brigade tomorrow."
