MIAMI, May 5 - Toledo, Ohio's TRV Motorsport has entered its Supreme Exhaust System Products/Racer Parts Wholesale Riley & Scott Chevy #95 in this weekend's Grand-Am Nextel 250 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Team owner Tom Volk of Blissfield, Mich. will share the driving duties with Canadian Ross Bentley for the 250-mile/104-lap/three-hour event, which gets the green flag at 1 p.m. this Sunday, May 7.

The event will be broadcast on a tape-delay basis by Speedvision.

"We're delighted to have Ross on board for Homestead," said Volk, who finished on the podium here in 1998 with co-driver Jeret Schroeder. "He has over 20 years of experience in everything from Formula Fords to Indy cars, and he has extensive experience with the kind of chassis we're using, the Riley & Scott. Although this is the first time this particular 2.4-mile, 11-turn modified road course has been used at Homestead, Ross was part of the winning GT-3 team in a BMW here in 1998. He's going to be good for the team and we hope to have a great showing."

"I'm really looking forward to getting back into a Sports Racing car - especially at Homestead," said Bentley, 43. "The last time on the track this year I was leading the Daytona 24-hour race before the car broke. Now I want to finish that result off. And in '98 when I won the USRRC Championship with BMW, Homestead was my first win of the season. I'm very happy Tom asked me to drive with him and TRV; it will be lots of fun and I hope I can bring something to the team. Tom is a great guy and the team hasn't gotten the credit it really deserves. We may be a bit of the underdogs at Homestead, but I expect we will surprise a few people. All I can say is, 'Watch this!'"

Volk noted that the team's usual co-driver, Jeret Schroeder, expects to do some endurance sports car racing with TRV following his busy month of May at Indianapolis. Schroeder, who finished fourth in the last Indy Racing Northern Light race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway April 22, is currently leading the Rookie of the Year standings in that series and he's tenth overall in points.

"The weekend right after Indy Jeret plans to be with us at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course June 2-4," Volk added. "He also plans to do the Daytona race with us at the end of June, Road America in July and a couple other races as his schedule permits."
