Following two perfect Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge series races where their team won in Watkins Glen and Indianapolis, Fall-Line Motorsports headed to Road America as a true winning contender with their three (45, 46, 48) BMW M3 machines.

In practice the team performed well and even started on the front row of the race. The No. 45 BMW co-driven by Al Carter and Hugh Plumb was also in contention for a win but despite running at the front of the pack during the race, they had to settle with another top ten finish after the 2.5 hour Road America race.

Al Carter and Hugh Plumb were very pleased to spend the week at Road America since this is one of the top racing destinations of the season. The racetrack is the racer's favorite and the village of Elkhart Lake is a neat destination that provides all types of activities for drivers and crew to relax after a long day at the track.

Hugh Plumb qualified the No. 45 Eagle Tech / B+ Foundation / Jetset Magazine /Momo Fall-Line Motorsports BMW in 6th place on Friday and he and his teammate were thinking of a top 5 finish for Saturday's race.

Hugh took a great start and was running in the top five when he stopped after only 30 minutes for the first pit stop of the day. Al Carter replaced Hugh for what was his longest ever stint in a CTSCC car in three seasons. After a well-executed pit stop from the No. 45 Fall-Line crew, the 45 regained the race in 12th place.

Carter started passing cars right away and was really competitive throughout the length of the race. 10 laps before the end Al Carter found himself running in 6th place but unfortunately the three Fall-Line BMW M3s needed an extra splash of fuel to finish the race and were forced to stop only 5 laps before the end of the race forcing Al Carter to finish 10th instead of an anticipated top five.

Having three cars in the top ten was a strong statement from Fall-Line since the Road America Road course never had the reputation to really suit the M3.

The Road America race will be broadcast on the brand new FOX Sports 2 channel on Saturday, August 17 at 3:00 PM ET.

Immediately following the race, the team started to prepare their three cars for next Saturday's race at the new Kansas Speedway road course. The Kansas Speedway six turn 2.37-mile road course twists through the infield of the iconic speedway where the stars of the NASCAR Sprint Cup series race twice a year.

Like most CTSCC racing teams, Fall-Line Motorsports never tested at Kansas Speedway so it is going to be very interesting to see how the cars perform there. This will be the series' first time racing in Kansas and the event will start on Thursday with a promoter test day. Carter and Plumb are excited about racing at that new venue and are really looking forward to run at the front of the pack all weekend.

First official practice sessions are set for Friday at noon and 3:15 PM (local time). Qualifying is set for Friday at 7:35 PM (local time). The Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race, round 9 of the 2013 championship will be run on Saturday at 3:00 PM (local time). The Kansas Speedway CTSCC race will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 (formerly Speed) on Sunday, August 25 at 3:00 PM ET
