Sports car challenge's Al Carter and Hugh Plumb visit Indianapolis children's hospital

AL CARTER AND HUGH PLUMB TO VISIT PEYTON MANNING CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AT ST VINCENT IN INDIANAPOLIS

Since the beginning of the 2011 Continental Tire Sports car Challenge and the launch of their B+ Foundation Racing Program, drivers Al Carter and Hugh Plumb have visited children's hospitals in almost every market where the Grand-Am series is racing.

On Thursday, Carter and Plumb will continue their "B+ Foundation Childhood Cancer Tour" and will tour the Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St Vincent in Indianapolis. Visiting kids in their hospital rooms is a rewarding experience for Carter and Plumb who each time are able to spend time with small kids and young adults, talk about racing, and ultimately bring a smile to children's faces.

Since 2011 when Al Carter offered his Fall-Line Motorsports BMW to The B+ Foundation to display the name and logo of the foundation on his race car, The B+ Foundation racing program has been very successful. Many racing fans have been able to hear about the foundation, the touching story of Joe McDonough's family, its program and learn more about childhood cancer. 46 kids are diagnosed every day with cancer and, thanks to programs like this one, more people hear about childhood cancer and get an opportunity to help and donate to non-profit organizations like The B+ Foundation.

"The B+ Racing Program has been a huge success for The B+ Foundation in 2012," announced Joe McDonough, co-founder with his wife and daughter of The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. "Not only have drivers, Al Carter and Hugh Plumb, enjoyed great success on the track, but a great deal of awareness has been generated for our battle against childhood cancers. The B+ Heroes 200, generously underwritten by BCKSTGR this year and covered so well by the SPEED TV, was certainly a highlight of the year. And, of course, visiting with the children battling cancer during our pre-race hospitals visit is absolutely the ultimate highlight of the year" added McDonough.

Starting with the Indianapolis race, a new co-primary sponsor joined the racing program of The B+ Foundation. SceneTap is coming on board and will help The B+ Foundation to organize more promotions and fund raising events to generate more donations to assist B+.

SceneTap, offers a free iPhone and Android mobile and web-based nightlife application that answers the question "where should we go tonight?" The SceneTap app provides real-time information on the local nightlife scene via a free mobile and Web app. With a tap of a button, people can view how many people are at a venue, the male and female ratio, the average age of everyone inside, along with specials, events, social commentary, and more.

SceneTap Sports will organize multiple events in connection with the Grand-Am racing series races in the markets where SceneTap is launching its app. The B+ Foundation was named official foundation of the SceneTap Sports program and fund raising events to benefit The B+ Foundation will be held at most SceneTap market launches.

At every race, The B+ Foundation sets up a table behind the Fall-Line transporter and welcomes racing fans that have an opportunity to make a donation and get a T-shirt or the hat of the B+ Racing program.
