North Canton, OH -- The Racing Team will be traveling to the Glen looking for its first win of the three race old season. The Glen has never been kind to Phoenix Promotions, the team that prepares the Racing Acura Integras and the Orison Marketing Planet Earth Motorsports Corvette.

"Dating back to the 1992 season, we have never won at the Glen," commented driver of the #41 Acura Integra LS, 2001 Sports Touring II Champion Will Nonnamaker. "We have come so close. Last year we were leading on the last lap of the race when we were taken out by a Sports Touring I car. It was very disappointing."

"We are really looking forward to the split race format," commented Team Manager Bill Pate. "After our third place with the Acura Integra Type R at Phoenix, we are really hopeful we will have the similar success with the car at this race."

The team will be welcoming two new drivers to the team; Bob Fitzgerald and Michiel Schuitemaker, both of whom will drive the #40 King Motorsports Integra Type R. The Fitzgerald name is very familiar to the sports car fans out there. Bob is the brother of Mike Fitzgerald, the 2000 Porsche Cup Champion and Grand Am Rolex Series GT Champion. Michiel Schuitemaker is an experienced Porsche Club driver.

"This is going to be a very ambitious weekend for us," commented Wayne Nonnamaker, driver of the #41 King Motorsports Integra LS with Will Nonnamaker. "We will have our regular stable of three Acura Integras, the #40, #41, and #42 Integras, and if all goes well we will have a fourth car there for testing. We will be introducing the #44 Integra LS, our third LS. The Glen weekend and the following Virginia weekend will be a good opportunity to test the car out and make sure all systems are fine on the car. The crew is still putting the final touches on the car this week as the other cars are already being loaded into the trailer for their journey to the Glen."

Qualifying for the 250 mile - three hour race (whichever comes first) will be held on Friday afternoon and the race will take place on Saturday at 2:30.
