4 June 2010-Adam Burrows will start the No. 12 Infinity Audio/Mobis/HD Radio Kia Forte Koup from the ninth row for Saturday's Continental Tire 150 after setting a fast lap time of 2:12.470-seconds in qualifying for round six of the 2010 GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge championship. Burrows will start the 2.5-hour race from behind the wheel before turning the controls over to co-driver Trevor Hopwood.
The duo, who scored thier maiden Continental Tire race victory at the legendary 3.4-mile circuit in upstate New York, will look to continue the upward trajectory of the season to date.
Burrows and Hopwood arrive at Watkins Glen fresh from a season-best run to the top five at Lime Rock Park as both Kinetic Motorsports Kia entries impressed at the Northwest Connecticut track. The sister No. 10 Kia entry will start from 20th on Saturday.
"We've been really happy with this Kia Forte Koup since we first took to the track on Thursday," offered Burrows. "Kinetic has made so much progress with this car, and it is handling very well. That really makes a track like this so much fun for the driver and I think that is going to help give us the chance to move up tomorrow in the race. There are a lot of cars entered for the race this weekend, so we just want to stay out of anyone else's mistakes and bring home another solid finish for Kia. We aren't sure if we are going to get rain or if it is going to stay dry, but either way we should have a good car underneath us in the race."
