DANVILLE, VA - If fans of racing are interested in seeing the cars and teams up close, then the October 3-5 Bosch Engineering Twin Six Hour Grand-Am KONI Challenge and BF Goodrich Tires GT Live weekend of road racing and more at VIRginia International Raceway is the place to do it. The paddock or garage area is always open to spectators, with cars and teams available nearly all the time.

The Bosch Engineering Twin Six-Hours will decide the season championships in both KONI Challenge classes! The weekend also will present the season finale for Formula Drift Pro-Am competitors where fans can see top level drifting.

Only one point separates the top pair of teams and drivers in the weekend's feature race for the KONI Challenge Grand Sport championship. In the manufacturers' standings, BMW, Porsche and Ford are separated by only six points and each could still capture the manufacturer's crown. In the Street Tuner category, Chevrolet's Cobalt SS has only a six-point gap over Acura, putting the final manufacturer championships up for grabs in both classes.

In the drivers' standings, any of the top ten drivers might be able to capture the GS crown, with the top four drivers within one point of each other and the next three all sharing the same score. In the Street Tuner class, for smaller cars such as Chevy Cobalts, Acura TSXs, Mazda Miatas, Hondas, BMW 330s, MINIs and Subarus, it will take a major problem for Jamie Holtom to lose the crown to Kristian Skavnes or Kuno Wittmer, but stranger things have happened in racing.

The combination of racing, drifting, free autocrossing, free karting, plus rides in race cars and drifting cars makes the GT Live East weekend one of those special events that almost any race fan can enjoy. Combine these attractions with the ability to walk around the track to watch the action from many different vantage points and visitors have the
