High Expectations at Miller for Team Mitchum
Team Launches New Website in preparation for 2011 Season

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (September 8, 2010) -Joey Atterbury and Ted Anthony, Jr, co-drivers of the #6.2 Mitchum motorsports Chevrolet Camaro, head to Miller Motorsports Park for this weekend's final round of the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. The duo takes to the track on Saturday, September 11th after two difficult rounds at NJMP and Three-Rivers, where a fire and a blown engine ruined very promising runs.

This season marked the return to GRAND-AM competition for Mitchum Motorsports, as well as the debut in the series for Atterbury. While the Camaro has experienced the usual growing pains of a new car in a series, overall the progress of the team has been very strong. The car and drivers have continued to get faster with each race and showed very strong in the last several rounds before mechanical issues caused early retirements while running near the front of the field. Based on the recent performance of the car and drivers the team is aiming high for a strong finish in the final round of competition.

Team principal Chris Mitchum is confident in the car and optimistic for the team's chances this weekend. "The crew once again worked really hard to get ready for this race after we lost the motor at Three Rivers", said Mitchum. "We have a brand new engine in the car for this race, which we tested extensively before packing up and heading to Utah, so we are in great shape car wise. Joey and Ted have been training hard as well, working out, karting and mentally preparing for this race. It's our best chance of the season for a really strong finish and we intend to capitalize. You can expect to see us running up towards the front once again."

Co-driver Anthony, Jr, who married his longtime girlfriend this past weekend, is looking for a strong finish to the season at Miller Motorsport Park. "This is my third race with Mitchum Motorsports - the third time is the charm, right? Based on the speed we ran at NJMP and Three Rivers I know we will be up front competing for a podium spot" said Anthony, Jr. "Shawna (Anthony's bride) will be at Miller this weekend which will be great as she doesn't always get to see me race. She's been my number one fan and I am so glad she can be here to see the race live. Hopefully she brings a little bit of luck our way too."

Atterbury has also been busy between races, although not with the same agenda. Besides personal training Joey has been busy working on plans for next season. "We have some exciting plans for next season that we'll be sharing soon after the Miller race", said Atterbury. "My number one focus right now is this weekend's race. We are due for a strong finish - the crew deserves it - they have been working harder than any crew out there to get the #6.2 Camaro ready for each round, especially after the fire and blown motor. Once the season is over look for news from Mitchum Motorsports regarding our 2011 plans, it's going to be exciting."

In preparation for the 2011 season Mitchum Motorsports has launched a new website, The site features a new look as well as driver profiles, information on the team, photos, driver blogs and news releases. "Our new site has a great look but more importantly it is a great place for fans to connect with the team" added Mitchum. "I am pleased to be able officially launch the new site today. Be sure to check back for our 2011 news that will follow the Miller race."
