SpeedQuest Racing and Anchor Racing have joined forces for an assault on the 2006 Grand American Cup Series season. They will field the No. 73 BMW M3 driven by Romeo Kapudija and John Munson. "I look forward to driving for the newly formed SpeedQuest/Anchor Racing team. Both teams combined form a vast amount of experience and talent. I am sure together the team will enjoy much success in 2006." Kapudija continues, " I would like to thank the team for this opportunity and would also like to thank KoRn and all our marketing partners for their continued support!"

"SpeedQuest is happy to form this bond with a team that last season saw their car on pole in one venue, and finishing with six top-10 results in 2005" states Adam Stevenson of SpeedQuest. Not without it's own merits to add to the mix, SpeedQuest finished a partial 2005 season by qualifying four times in the top-10 on the overall grid and two top-10 finishes while consistently running in the top-5 throughout the season.

The new entity will be known as SpeedQuest/Anchor Racing, with headquarters in Chicago, IL. SpeedQuest/Anchor Racing is comprised of some of the most talented individuals involved in the racing industry today, and is in the business of developing the driving stars of tomorrow in North American Sportscar Racing.

As part of the Driver Development Program, the team will be fielding three cars in the new SCCA Mazda MX-5 Cup with eight races tied to major venues throughout North America. SpeedQuest/Anchor Racing will also be fielding the No. 71 BMW 330 in the ST class of the Grand Am Cup Championship for drivers James Sofranos and John Munson.

On board as marketing partners for the 2006 season are KoRn, Anchor Development, a Chicago based developer, Adroc, a promotional marketing firm, Moly Shield Oil, which produces an array of lubricants, engine treatments and industrial greases, and Ironclad Gloves an industry leader in the construction and industrial markets.
