Grassroots Motorsports Honors Phoenix ProMotions

Massillon, Ohio - Grassroots Motorsports has recently recognized Phoenix ProMotions as one of the top teams in endurance racing. In the February edition of the sports car magazine the team was honored for their 2004 season and the team's ability to produce championships year after year.

Grassroots Motorsports picked "20 Things that Rocked [Their] World in the Year That Was 2004." Actual cars, series, and drivers were chosen in the article but as the only team to be chosen the Phoenix ProMotions team was doubly excited.

"To have the editors of Grassroots Motorsports choose our team as one of the best of 2004 is very exciting to us. They are racers who truly know and love racing at this level and the people who read the magazine are as well. To be chosen by Grassroots is definitely an honor to us," said Will Nonnamaker of Phoenix ProMotions.

Phoenix ProMotions had an amazing 2004 season. En route to seizing the Grand Am Cup team championship, driver championship, and manufacturer championship the team landed six first place finishes. They took two first place finishes in ROLEX Grand American series and a total of three podiums. With their eight car effort Phoenix totaled 67 entries during 2004. This year marks the team's fourth consecutive title in Grand American.

Grassroots Motorsports is the sports car enthusiast's magazine. The magazine covers sports cars in all realms from the most recent engine to hit the market to teams that win championships year after year.

The Phoenix ProMotions team is owned by the Nonnamaker family and is based out of Massillon, Ohio. The team has been in existence for over 20 years and has spent time not only in Grand American but IMSA and SCCA as well.
