Mansfield, OH -- Seven races into the season the HRPWorld.com Racing effort has taken home four wins including three in a row. The last race was a strong result for the team as the HRPWorld.com Racing effort scored a 1-2 finish at the team's home track of Mid Ohio.
Howie Liebengood started the weekend off on a great note for the team as he scored the pole position in the #43 King Motorsports / Pennzoil sponsored machine.
"The car was great and the track was good," commented Liebengood after qualifying. "You could throw a blanket over the first four or five guys (in this class), so it's going to be a real tough race for us."
Liebengood continued his impressive display of speed as he set the fastest race lap during his starting stint in the #43 Integra. After he pitted for fuel and a driver's change Will Nonnamaker got in the car to drive the car home to the driving duo's third win of the season.
Finishing right behind the #43 machine was the team's #42 King Motorsports / Pennzoil sponsored Acura Integra with Wayne Nonnamaker finishing for Joe Nonnamaker.
"We were very fortunate on that first yellow when the Mini and Audi got together," added Liebengood after the race. "It was kind of crazy down there. On the restart, I really got a great jump and was able to get past the two other ST I Minis, and that gave me a cushion between us and the #27 Bill Fenton Acura."
"It was a great weekend for us," commented Trevor Whipple, who is the crew member responsible for the prep on the HRPWorld.com Racing Acuras. "First and second was good. Howie did an excellent job at the start. Belinda Endress also ran a great race in the #44 Integra at the start and helped put pressure on the Fenton cars."
The victory puts Will Nonnamaker and Howie Liebengood one point behind in the Driver Championship to Bob Beede, driver of the #27 Fenton Motorsports Acura Integra. With four races remaining the season takes a ten week break before returning to action on September 12-14 at Mosport International.
