HOMESTEAD-MIAMI, FL - 09/20/2004 - The Turner Motorsport Grand Am Cup team finished in third and fourth in an exciting 3-hour race on Saturday. Car #95, driven by Will Turner and Don Salama, finished in third place and gave the duo their fifth podium finish of the season. Tim Pappas and Mike Fitzgerald in the #97 Turner Motorsport BMW 330i finished in fourth place.

Turner and Salama have not finished below fourth place at any of the seven races held thus far in 2004. Consistency and reliability have brought them to first place in the overall Championship standings with three races left in the season.

Will Turner, "This result worked out very well for us as far as points are concerned as we now have a greater margin over the second place team in the overall Championship. The TMS BMW was excellent the whole race and I'd like to thank my co-driver Don Salama for doing some great driving. As always, the Turner Motorsport team did an excellent job with both cars. They are the reason why we are leading in two major championships - Grand Am Cup and World Challenge Touring."

Tim Pappas and Mike Fitzgerald started from the first row in the #97 Turner Motorsport BMW 330i. Pappas took the first stint behind the wheel with Fitzgerald getting in on lap 37. With temperatures well over 100-degrees Fahrenheit, Fitzgerald drove for close to two hours and brought the BMW across the finish line in fourth place - the fourth top five in a row for the #97 car. Pappas is in third place in the overall Championship standings.

The Grand Am Cup series will be at Virginia International Raceway in two weeks for another 250-mile enduro. The race will be held on Saturday, October 2nd at 1:50pm.

The World Challenge series, with another Turner Motorsport BMW leading the Touring Car Championship, will be at Road Atlanta all this week. That 50-minute sprint race will be on Friday and broadcast this coming Sunday, September 26th at 12:00pm ET.
