COLUMBIA, SC (April 11, 2007) --Andy Brumbaugh will again be leading the #63 ROAR Racing Mazda entry in the ST class for the April 13-15 KONI Challenge race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. For Homestead Andy will be paired with Charles Espenlaub of Lutz, FL. The #63 Mazda RX-8 is sponsored by Winterhaven Farms/ The Toliver House Restaurant/Discovery Parts. The team was very encouraged by Daytona as they were on track to finish 8th until being hit hard from behind under a full course caution, causing significant damage to the car. ROAR recently tested at Homestead and feels they have a good starting set-up for this weekend.
There are currently 38 entries in the ST class for the Homestead-Miami event. This race is special in that the ST and GS classes will have separate races. You can watch live timing and scoring on www.grand-am.com for the 400K-109 lap/2.5 hour event starting at 10:15 AM Sunday April 15.
"The whole ROAR Racing team has been working hard getting ready for Homestead," said Brumbaugh. "I am really excited to be racing with Charles this weekend. I think we did well at Daytona and it would be nice to get a solid result for the team this weekend. Every lap this team makes we get better and better and hopefully we can show that to everyone this weekend. I think Homestead will be a good race, hopefully there won't be many yellow and having two pro drivers in the car should play into our advantage."
