Guy Cosmo Joins Fountain Motorsports for Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres
Fountain Motorsports Racing is pleased to announce the addition of Rolex Daytona Prototype driver Guy Cosmo to its' driver line-up for the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres on August 5th. The 200 mile road race is the 8th installment of the 10 race Grand American Road Racing Association's Grand-Am Cup Series.
Guy, an accomplished driver in Grand American's Rolex Series, joins Fountain Motorsports regular Paul Stoddart in the #126 BMW 330i. "I'm excited to run on the streets of Trois-Rivieres, and looking forward to working with Mike and the guys at Fountain Motorsports."
Team Owner, Mike Fonte is excited about this opportunity - "Guy obviously brings a wealth of knowledge and professional experience to the team and we look forward to making the most of it. It's not often that you have the opportunity to work with someone of Guy's caliber and were pleased that he sees the professionalism and ability in the Fountain Motorsports Team as well."
In only it's seventh race since the teams inception, Fountain Motorsports is coming off its' best result yet, an 8th place finish in the tightly contested EMCO Gears 200, at Mid-Ohio on June 25th. The team of Cosmo and Stoddart look forward to building on this result to further improve to a podium finish at Trois-Rivieres. Cosmo's only two starts in the Grand-Am Cup ST category resulted in back-to-back victories at Mont-Tremblant and Virginia International Raceway in 2003.
